This extraordinary ritual spoon originates from Nepal or Tibet and is a unique, handcrafted piece steeped in deep cultural symbolism. The handle features an expressive lion's head or guardian spirit , artfully crafted and framed by a central lotus blossom , in the center of which is a round turquoise gemstone .
The bowl is richly engraved with paisley or dragon motifs , common in the Himalayan region—religious symbolism, floral life energy, and protective ornaments are united in this piece. The back features a typical cast structure—a sign of genuine craftsmanship and not a mass-produced item.
With a weight of 29.80 g and a length of approximately 10.8 cm, this spoon is too large for conventional use - it probably served as a ceremonial or altar spoon , as used in Buddhist and Tibetan temples or pilgrimage sites.
A rare, ethnographically valuable piece for collectors, spiritual altars or lovers of Buddhist craftsmanship .
