This magnificent antique garnet pendant, dating from around 1870–1910, likely originates from Bohemia and impresses with its impressive size and exceptional craftsmanship. The deep red, sparkling Bohemian garnets (pyropes) are set in several rows in gold-plated tombac—a typical feature of historical jewelry from the Gablonz/Turnov area.
The oval locket with a floral center and open back allows light to pass through, optimally highlighting the intense red of the garnets. Despite its age, the piece is in excellent condition—no missing stones, no damage. Ideal as the highlight of a long necklace or as a collector's item for lovers of high-quality garnet work.
A true heirloom with museum-like character and perfect preservation.
